Animals are living things and come in many sizes and shapes. Some are very big, others are tiny. Some animals are wild and live in the jungle. Some animals are tame. They live with us as pets or work on farms.

Types of animals
  1. Amphibians live part of their life in water and part on land. Ex: Frogs, Toads etc.
  2. Birds have feathers and wings, and most birds are able to fly. Birds come in various shapes, sizes, colors, and behavior patterns. Ex: Eagle, Pigeon etc.
  3. Insects are small creatures. All insects have six legs. Ex: Ant, Fly etc.
  4. Mammals have fur or hair on their bodies and live on land, at sea, in the air, and under the ground. Ex: Lion, Cat etc.
  5. Reptiles are a class of animal with scaly skin. Ex: Snake, Crocodile etc.
  6. Fish live in water, have fins, and use gills to get oxygen from the water. Ex: Shark, Sting ray etc.
