Around your house and in your garden there are hundreds of different knds of insects.
There are more than one million different kinds(species) of insects in the world.
Insects get their name because their bodies are in sections.
- All insects have six legs.
- Most insects have wings and can fly.
- Insects do not have a backbone. They have a hard covering.
- All adult insects have three parts to their bodies. These are: a head, a thorax and an abdomen.
- Insects have two feelers or antennae. These are used for smelling and feeling.
